Sad
to say that Polly has disappeared...leaving us with this 1 very rare
recording.
|
"She is better than that Kiwi bird off the telly ! "
Brian Sewell, Evening Standard.
|
Polly began singing in the local perch choir not long after leaving the nest. She was then |
spotted, not literally, and duly won the prestigious John 'Parrot' Cage scholarship for a |
rather arrogant minimalist performance of Sondheim's "anyone can whistle". |
She has since rubbed and sat on the shoulders of artists as diverse as Jack Daw, Robin |
Redbreast and more recently Sheryl Crow. Not forgetting the famous duet with Thomas Tit |
"Who's a pretty a boy then? " |
In the early 70's, Polly toured with Wings and of course The Eagles, promoting her debut |
album, aptly titled "Norwegian Blues" |
Other
album credits include "Nuts in the morning, nuts at night "
and
her
|
biggest
success to date the cheeky..."Mina songs
not from a Minor bird "
|
We
can only hope that her owner reveals themselves via the www.
