Soul & R&B diva,Ruby Turner is blessed with a voice to die for.Ruby can breathe life
& meaning into a song whether it is a passionate soaring ballad or a funky up-tempo groove.
Her major break came in the mid 1980's becoming a member of 'Culture Club'. An offer of
a solo record deal closely followed.She signed to Jive Records, part of the Zomba group and
four albums and a 'Best of ' were released over the next few years. This spawned the hits;
'If you're ready'(Come go with Me),'I'd rather go Blind' and the No.1 hit single...
'Its Gonna be Alright' in the US R'n'B chart.
Ruby has released 8 albums, a BBC 'Live from Glastonbury' & 'The Best of Ruby Turner'.
She has had guest appearances on releases with Brian Ferry / UB40 / Steve Winwood &
Jools Holland.
On December 31st '99, Ruby sang the National Anthem for the Queen & the Duke of Edinburgh
at the Millenium Dome Opening Ceremony.
Her album release " Call Me By My Name ", was quick to pick up critical acclaim.
Nine of the songs on the album were co-written by Ruby, affirming her ability as a
fine songwriter.
